Invoke datagridview cellvalidating

Ok, to make sure I understand, when I update a field through code, the calculations will not take place due to the Cell Validating event not firing. If that is the case, is there a way to fire that event or do I have to manually calculate the values and manually update each field? Invalidate Row() method in the Cell End Edit event of the the grid to perform the calculations. Is it possible to trap key presses at the cell level, and in the relevant columns, ignore them if non-numeric? Greg I typcially use a javascript function to restrict users..function numeric_onkeypress() I also have some javascripts here: Snippet...7/Sreedhar - for infrastructure You really don't want to validate with each Key Press for several reason.

End Edit() End While End With grddetails is the name of grid, m_Bindingsrc Detail is datasource for grd Details According to This , You should be able to force the validation trigger using Begin Edit and End Edit. I am fetching Product description, MRP and other details in cell validating.

I still want the enter key to validate and end edit mode.

I found this FAQ entry and subclassed Data Grid View to override Process Dialog Key().

Please note that event fires only when changing the cell value using the user interface.

This method will not fire when setting the cell value with code. Greetings, Jack the Telerik team Thank you for the reply.

Please, could you elaborate a bit more and describe in detail what you want to achieve. I have a grid with values in it; quantity, price, discount (%), unit price.

Singles have started to join dating services for many different reasons: it might be because they’re really looking forward to going to a date, or to meet local singles (that’s why location tools are so important, it’s not the same meeting a northern match than starting to date in the south of Australia)!
